about

Instrumentation: large synthesizer ensemble including drums. Written in 1995-96 (5th grade) and entered in the 1996-97 PTA Reflections Contest (6th grade), this piece was intended to imitate the style of new-age composer Kitaro. After a Kitaro-esque introduction, the song leads into a musical idea which takes it in a new direction. The piece is concluded with a combination of the previous themes. This integration of themes and variations was later used in the realization of "Poppa Jox," but seems more natural and fitting here.
