about

Instrumentation: synthesizer piano, trumpet and bass. Developed out of an assignment from Kurt Grossman, this piece has a melody line containing a moderate amount of syncopation, and the name stuck. Another composition which began as chord progressions, it has a melody which sounds like a real melody. Like a popular song, it has a clear refrain and verse sections. For the first time I used one instrument, the piano, for all elements of accompaniment, including harmony, bass, and secondary instruments.
